2022 is the year of the Tiger—the king of all beasts according to Chinese tradition. The Tiger represents strength, courage and confidence. The Tiger is the third animal that appears on the 12-year Chinese zodiac. This year, the year of the Tiger begins on February 1st. So what does this mean for the year ahead?
According to ancient philosophy, people born during a Tiger year will not have good luck in the year of the Tiger. This may come as a surprise to many, but fear not Tigers, simply follow the lucky things associated with the Tiger to help smooth out the coming year.
If you are Tiger (born in 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962), you may want to consider these points to get the most out of your year:
Auspicious associations Tigers should embrace:
Lucky numbers: 1, 3, and 4 and numbers containing them (like 13 and 43)
Lucky days: the 16th and 27th of any Chinese lunar month
Lucky colors: Blue, gray, orange
Lucky flowers: Yellow lily, cineraria
Lucky direction: East, north, south
Lucky months: The 3rd, 7th, and 10th Chinese lunar months
What can all of us expect in general?
As we are moving out of an Ox year, which is slow and gentle in nature, and being replaced by the speed and power of the Tiger, a new mood should begin to manifest. The Tiger is full of vigour, so people will gain strength and vitality. This new mood should bring overall energy levels that are higher than in 2021.
It can be expected that the year of the Tiger will evoke self-confidence, competitive nature, and determination to succeed. So hopefully it will be easier achieve your goals this year, or stick by any new resolutions you made at the start of January.
